I am a researcher at the University of California, Berkeley. I also teach Environmental Health and Development at UC Berkeley and San Francisco State University. I research questions about the people, technologies and institutions involved in sustainability transitions — attempts to solve environmental problems, such as climate change and toxic pollution legacies, with large-scale socio-technical change. I put inequality, politics and practice at the heart of my approach to studying these transitions.
I received my PhD at the University of California-Berkeley in Environmental Science, Policy and Management (ESPM), with a designated emphasis in Science and Technology Studies.
